 Dockdog Name:  Piper  (2006)

Accomplishments:  Piper made her debut at the 2008 Clark County Fair.  Her very first time on the dock she ran down to the edge, screeched to a halt and then seal plopped in.  She then proceeded to swim, and swim, and swim some more.  She would get just close enough to grab her collar and push off the ramp back into the pool for more laps.  Her first competition jump she ended up first place in her division with a jump of 12’10”.  Then the second event (Canby) Piper jumped her personal best of 19’5”

Member Accomplisments:  We were able to teach Piper to sit/stay at the end of the dock at her second event.  We also finally made it to a practice at Terry’s pond.  Between fall soccer and spring soccer it has been tough finding the time to attend.  Caitlyn really wanted to try handling Piper on the dock, but we were a bit nervous as Piper is quite energetic.  We are proud that she was successful on her first attempt to handle Piper at Oaks Park.  She threw the wubba with great form.

Goals:  Anyone that has seen Piper at an event knows she is loud and wild waiting for her turn so we’d like her to settle more in line (otherwise we may have to  supply ear plugs for everyone around us).  We also hope to get her out of the pool quicker after her jumps.

Misc:  In her spare time Piper likes to play with the girls.  They get all dressed up and she becomes Princess Piper at the pretend dog show.
