Dockdog Names:  Shelby  (1999)

He absolutely loves the water.  When I first got him, I set-up a sprinkler in the back yard and he quickly discovered that he could move it all around.  He ended up watering everything including the house and the inside of the garage.  If I am watering something in the backyard, he has to be directly in front of the spray nozzle.  If I really need to accomplish something with the hose, I have to lock him in the garage for a few minutes, or on a rope to keep him away.  He’s very obsessive about the hose and the water being sprayed out of it!  He’s also very friendly with all sizes and breeds of dogs.

Shelby's Accomplishments:  Shelby can give a high five and absolutely loves the water and loves to chase tennis balls.  He just hasn’t yet figured out that jumping into the pond is required to be a dock dog.  I am hopeful we get some training in soon, and he loses his hesitation at the dock at the next practice.

Goals:  To jump off the big dock!

Misc:  Shelby and I have been a team for nearly 2 years now.  I adopted him at the age of 8.  From what I understand, I am his third owner.  I call him my handsome sexy boyfriend that lives in my garage and craps in the backyard.
